How to get there?

Getting to Buxton, NC: Buxton is about an 8-hour drive from Philadelphia, with a scenic route down I-95 and US-64. For those flying, the closest airport is Norfolk (ORF), about 3.5 hours away by car. Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and New Bern (EWN) are also good options, at around 4.5 and 3 hours away. We recommend renting a car after your flight, since the Outer Banks is best experienced by driving.

Where to stay?

Under 'Lodging' you will find a couple of hotels in the area that are a short distance from the venue. There are also a ton of Air Bnb and Vrbo in the area. You can also check out Midgett Reality ( https://www.midgettrealty.com/ ), a rental house company in the area for more options. The venue is in Buxton, but Frisco and Cape Hatteras are just a few miles away.

Getting to the Venue on Wedding Day?

Our venue is located on Hatteras Island in Buxton, NC, where rideshares like Uber and Lyft are not available. To make things easy, we'll be providing transportation to and from the venue from the hotels listed and rental homes where guests are staying. Please keep this in mind when choosing your accommodations so you'll have access to the shuttle service on wedding day.

Is the wedding inside or outside?

The wedding will be primarily outside. The ceremony is planned to take place out on the water, weather permitting, with beautiful views of the sound. The reception will be held on the large deck at the inn, where we will have a tent set up- so rain or shine, we will still get to celebrate outdoors!

What is the attire?

Semi-formal, beach-inspired. We encourage colorful, springy looks with light, airy fabrics — think sundresses, breezy suits, and polished but relaxed outfits. The reception will be held on a deck, so wedges, block heels, or flats are ideal for women. It may get chilly in the evening, so light layers are encouraged.

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

We kindly ask that all wedding events remain adults only, with the exception of children in our immediate families. As much as we love your little ones, we hope this weekend can be a special time for you to relax and celebrate with us. We're so grateful for your understanding and can't wait to share this time together.
